WRITING AND PRODUCTION CREDITS
Fourteen of these videos have a production and writing credit, the latter being shared for the Managing Stress collection and for Practically Slim. The other two videos celebrate some unusual photographic art (see also the About page) and a brand name that was politically admired as well as being featured in Time Magazine (link at the end of the Articles page).
Co-written with Dr Rebecca Torrance Jenkins, this is a series of four videos produced to help with managing stress.
Rebecca has a Ph D in Cognitive Neuro Education and is a co-founder of the innovative Neurofiles project.
The series was also presented as augmented reality cards, with one GP providing them to patients so that they could view the videos on their smart phones at their leisure.
The final video encouraged users to learn the important art of doing absolutely nothing.
The trailer.
This video was co-written with Heather Newham of Practically Slim.
This is an amazing creation called a Star Tetrahedron. It was designed and made by David Dickinson. The kaleidoscopic background and musical accompaniment to its spinning makes for a mesmeric experience.
This is the video of photographic art exhibited in the Lowry Outlet Mall in 2005. With Mayor Stan Witkowski and Lady Mayoress Linda Witkowski of Salford, the actor Johnny Briggs who played Mike Baldwin in Coronation Street for 30 years, and ballerina Kate Simmons from Kate Simmons Dance. Stan and Johnny each chose their favourite piece of art, and a selection of images was displayed in the entrance to Kate’s dance school. You can also see some of the art displayed on the ‘About’ page.
This video was part of a marketing workshop.
This animated video was produced to help everyone identify with a level of shyness suffered by nearly all of us.
Another animated video to provide reassurance about nervousness being a problem shared by everyone.
This magical video demonstrates the now lost art of augmented reality, following HP’s decision to remove their amazing app HP Reveal (formerly Aurasma) from the market.
As cool as it gets, the video was produced to build awareness of some amazing creative industry workshops at MediaCityUK.
Another video created for the same purpose. Also pretty cool.
Connected Up North was a unique two day workshop for creatives in the heart of the iconic MediaCityUK. This video was part of the information programme that preceded it. The wealth of creative talent in the region is testament to the importance of this amazing centre.
The brand name Wrinklies Direct was first used for my entry in the list of Direct Marketing Association members. I was called to enquire if it was a serious name, so I asked the caller if she was challenging its use. On the contrary, she said, they all thought it was fantastic. So next, we applied it to a recruitment company specialising in ‘older’ candidates. The accompanying slogan was celebrated at the Conservative Party conference in 2004.
